Washington, Ramadan 21, 1436, Jul 8, 2015, SPA -- Nearly three years after an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens, U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday nominated Peter Bodde to be the next state official to fill the position. Bodde, the U.S. ambassador to Nepal since 2012, was among a number of State and Defense department nominations announced by Obama. Should he be confirmed, he would replace Ambassador Deborah Jones, who is currently based out of Malta after the embassy in Tripoli was evacuated last year. --SPA 11:52 LOCAL TIME 08:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
