Islamabad, Ramadan 21, 1436, Jul 8, 2015, SPA -- Afghan officials and Taliban representatives met overnight in Islamabad for the first official talks in more than two years, and agreed to meet again after Ramadan, dpa quoted Pakistani officials as saying Wednesday. "It is ice-breaking," said a Pakistani security official involved in the process. "Acknowledging a problem is the first step to resolving it and that step has been taken." Officials from the United States and China also participated in the talks at Murre, a hill resort near the capital, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said. Both sides agreed to meet again after the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which ends July 17, the ministry said, but no date or venue was given. --SPA 11:48 LOCAL TIME 08:48 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
