Istanbul, Ramadan 16, 1436, Jul 3, 2015, SPA -- Members of the Turkish coast guard rescued a 10-month-old baby adrift at sea Friday as it floated towards a Greek island while attached to a flotation device, dpa reported. In video footage posted on the website of Hurriyet newspaper, the baby is seen out on the Agean Sea, off the coast of Turkey's Canakkale province, being moved along briskly by the current in a yellow flotation ring. The paper reported that the baby had been left unattended in shallow waters along a Turkish beach when a strong wind changed the current, directing her southwards towards the island of Lesbos. The rescue took place about 1 kilometre off the Turkish coast. -- SPA 21:20 LOCAL TIME 18:20 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
