Rome, Dhu Al-Qa'dah 19, 1435, Sep 14, 2014, SPA -- Nearly 1,300 migrants have been rescued from the Mediterranean over the past few hours, dpa cited Italian authorities as saying Sunday. Some 180 people, including 42 children, were picked up by a coast guard patrol in Libyan waters, about 220 kilometers north of Benghazi, a statement said. Another 209 migrants were rescued from another struggling vessel nearby.
