Riyadh, 14 Rajab 1436 AH, May 3, 2015, SPA -- Supreme Medical Commission approved in its meeting held recently, the treatment of 76 new medical cases outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the applications referred to the body for treatment abroad. It also agreed to extend the treatment of 80 cases abroad, in addition to the approval of 117 new medical cases or extension of their treatment inside the Kingdom, due to the availability of treatment in specialized hospitals in the Kingdom. The Director General of the ministry's Medical Commission and health attaché offices Dr. Mishaal Abdullah Al- Mishaal said that the ministry is working according to a scientific mechanism and methodology for the achievement of justice and equality among citizens. It is worth mentioning that the number of cases that have been transformed by the Supreme Commission for medical treatment within the Kingdom to reference and specialized hospitals last year amounted to nearly 50,000 cases, while the number of transferred cases for treatment outside the Kingdom last year exceeded the 4400 cases. --SPA 11:03 LOCAL TIME 08:03 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
