Ambassador Al-Muallami discusses with representatives of Egypt and Spain to UN joint international efforts to combat terrorism

New York, March 12, 2020, SPA -- The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallami, in his capacity as Chairman of the Islamic Group on Combating Terrorism, met this evening with the permanent representative of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt, Ambassador Muhammad Idris, and the permanent representative of the friendly Kingdom of Spain, Ambassador Agustin Santos Maraver, in their capacity as facilitators in charge of reviewing United Nations Counter-Terrorism Strategy. During the meeting, they reviewed the joint efforts in combating terrorism, and the position of the OIC countries, in which the kingdom presides over the group concerned with combating terrorism, and is negotiating the position of the Islamic group on the United Nations strategy to combat terrorism, in a way that ensures the achievement of the interests and priorities of Islamic countries.
