Cairo, May 9, 2020, SPA -- Al-Azhar condemned reports echoed by some media outlets claiming that the Israeli occupation authorities have ratified establishing new settlement projects, in the old city of Hebron and confiscating adjacent land lots to the Ibrahimc sanctuary, in a step to facilitate jeopardizing it and going on its Judaization plan of the this Islamic sanctuary. In a statement announced here today, Al-Azhar reiterated total rejection of flagrant violations and escalating policies pursued by the Israeli occupation against religious and historical Palestinian landmarks, in general and the Islamic and Christian sanctuaries, in particular, in a sheer breach of the International Law and other adopted international charters, against the backdrop of the world preoccupation with confronting novel Covild-19 pandemic.
