Cairo, Dhu-AlQa'dah 23, 1435, Sep 18, 2014, SPA -- Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence, has announced that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered to renovate Al-Azhar Mosque. This was announced by Prince Khalid to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following his meeting Sheikh of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmad Al-Taib. "I announce the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' initiative regarding renovation of Al-Azhar Mosque. I informed Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi and Sheikh of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmad Al-Taib of this initiative which reflects keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques towards the Egyptian leadership and people," the Chief of General Intelligence added.
