Health Ministry Spokesperson: 1158 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, April 23, 2020, SPA -- Assistant Minister of Health and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali said that 1158 new cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al-Abdulaali said that the new cases were reported in Madinah (293), Makkah (209), Jeddah (208), Riyadh (157), Hafouf (78), Dammam (43), Jubail (40), Taif (32), Khobar (28), Unaizah (13), Al Bukayriyah (11), Tabuk (10), Hail (9), Rabigh (5), Al-Hada (5), Yanbu (4), Abha (1), Arar (1), Al Bahah (1), Al Mandaq (1), Dhahran (1), Qatif (1), Hafar Al-Batin (1), Al Aqiq (1), Al Khurmah (1), Diriyah (1), Najran (1), Om Aldoom (1), Wadi Alfra' (1). Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom reached 13,930 cases, of which 11,884 cases are active cases receiving medical care, and their health condition is mostly stable; with the exception of 93 cases receiving intensive care. The number of new recoveries is 113, bringing the total recoveries to 1925 cases. The number of new deaths is 7, bringing the total deaths to 121 cases. Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide is more than 2,600,000 cases, of which 719,000 cases have been cured to date. The COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 184,000.
