President of GACA Signs Number of Agreements At ICAN Conference in Jordan

Aqaba, Dec. 06, 2019, SPA – President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Abdulhadi bin Ahmed Al-Mansoori signed here yesterday a set of agreements in the field of air transport services with a number of countries in their entirety aiming to regulate air services and ensure air safety and aviation security, on the sidelines of the 12th conference of the International Conference on Air Services Negotiations (ICAN) which was held here during the period 2-6. Al-Mansoori signed two bilateral agreements that bring together the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the governments of Iceland and Zimbabwe in the field of air transport services, in addition to signing two memoranda of understanding with Mozambique and Guyana in the field of air transport services in preparation for each party to complete its regular procedures for signing the attached draft agreement. The GACA delegation met with the delegations of the representatives of the participating countries, where they discussed joint cooperation in the field of air transport. The 12th Conference of Air Services Negotiations (ICAN) aims to keep pace with the rapid development of the air transport industry globally, as countries meet to hold negotiations or consultations on a bilateral or multilateral basis on air services, with the aim of providing better services to the air transport community and facilitating the establishment of the links between systems regulators, air operators and related service providers and their positive benefits to accelerate negotiating mechanisms. --SPA 15:07 LOCAL TIME 12:07 GMT 0009 www.spa.gov.sa/w1223322
