SPA President Receives Chairman and Members of Culture, Media, Tourism and Heritage Committee of Shura Council 2 Riyadh

During the meeting, the Chairman of Culture, Media, Tourism and Heritage Committee of the Shura Council expressed his thanks and appreciation to the SPA President for his welcome, reviewing the Shura Council's march in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially with regard to the work of the committee and the council's development related to its legislative and regulatory powers and its competencies, and the work mechanism of the regular sessions and the permanent committees of the council, affirming that the council's committees aim to serve the citizens and achieve the general interests of the country. For her part, Vice-Chairman of the Committee Dr. Fawziah Aba Al-Khail stressed the importance of media and its mission in delivering the Kingdom’s voice to the world in various languages, especially as it will host the G20 summit, praising the content published by the SPA as it is the official voice of the Kingdom. For his part, Mohammad Al-Humaidhi, Member of the Shura Council, highlighted the importance of investing the SPA news capabilities in dealing with various media outlets with the need to take advantage of the modern technology developments in preparing the news content, while member of the Shura Council Dr. Abdullah Al-Sufyani highlighted the SPA media role in light of the media outlets' progress and the spread of information in a record time. Later, the SPA President and members of the committee watched a five-minute documentary about the SPA history and development, in addition to the SPA role in covering the works of G20 summit to be held in Riyadh. After that, the SPA President honored the attendees with memorial shields on this occasion. Then, they toured the SPA departments including editing, photography, and information technology, which include national cadres and technical equipment that support the SPA mission through its official website and the social media's accounts.
