OIC seeks to re-open its humanitarian office in Aden

New York, Sep. 25, 2019, SPA -- The Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen participated in the Ministerial Meeting on the Humanitarian Crisis in Yemen, organized by the Permanent Mission of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, the Permanent Mission of the United States and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. Al-Othaimeen praised the great humanitarian support provided by the Member States of the Organization to meet the humanitarian needs in Yemen. He pointed out that the OIC is working in coordination with the Yemeni government to resume the work of the organization's humanitarian office and activate humanitarian work in the interim capital Aden, so that it can provide more humanitarian assistance to those affected, in line with the decisions of the recent Makkah summit. --SPA 22:42 LOCAL TIME 19:42 GMT 0032 www.spa.gov.sa/w1179429
