Saudi Arabia, UAE, sign MoU to develop digital education system

Riyadh, April 10, 2019, SPA -- The Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates, to develop the digital education system, and several Saudi universities signed twinning agreements with their Emirati counterparts. The signing took place during the participation of an Emirati academic delegation in the 8th International Exhibition and Conference on Higher Education, IECHE, in Riyadh. The signing of the MoU and the twinning agreements, which took place at the launch of the exhibition, was witnessed by Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, Minister of Education of Saudi Arabia, and Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Minister of Education, and several officials from both sides. The MoU, which aims to develop the digital education system of the two countries was signed by Dr. Eid Al-Hessouni, Under-Secretary for Educational Performance at the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mu'alla, Under-Secretary of Academic Affairs for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education of the UAE.
