Tunis, March 3, 2019, SPA -- The 36th session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers was concluded here today. The Council awarded Prince Naif Medal for Arab Security (Excellent Rank) to Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his valuable efforts in enhancing Arab security and serving the just Arab causes. The Council also awarded Prince Naif Medal (First Class) to Algerian Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Urban Planning Noureddine Badawi in recognition of his valuable efforts in promoting joint Arab security action. The Ministers stressed the importance of continuing joint Arab security cooperation in addition to accomplishing more achievements in order to provide security and stability for all Arab peoples. The Council adopted a nine-phase plan for the Arab strategy to combat the illicit use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and a eight-phase plan for the Arab strategy to combat terrorism, and a five-phase plan for the Arab civil defense strategy.
