Jeddah, February 20, 2019 SPA-- The General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection in cooperation with the World Bank concluded here today a three-day introductory workshop on Natural Capital with participation of officials and experts at local and international levels. The workshop focus was on unifying national efforts to obtain the best international standards in Natural Capital and associated System of environmental economics Accounting (SEEA) said Dr. Naif AlShalhoub, Director General of environmental economics measurements department, and he added that it aimed at enhancing economic and environmental works to achieve the desired competency in making decisions in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030. The purpose of the workshop is to enhance the quality of life, limit waste of natural resources, which will in turn effect the GDP outcome, also the integration of SEEA in all public sectors, Dr. AlShalhoub further said.
