All elements of the Riyadh train project have been designed according to high technical and design specifications. The most important of these is the use of the (driverless motor) system, which is divided between three levels : Underground tunnels by 42% and tracks on the surface of the earth by about 11 percent and finally tracks on bridges by 47 %. The four stations of the project are King Abdullah Financial Station, Al-Oliya station, Palace of Government and the western station are one of the main attractions for the passengers in the project due to their occurrence in high density areas and at the intersection of train and bus routes in addition to providing support services and recreational and commercial needs of various uses of the public transport system. The Riyadh Train Station project is described as an additional value for the public transport project and a factor to improve the urban environment in the city, as it is currently undergoing qualitative development moves with the launch of the vision of the Kingdom 2030 where it was designed using sustainable materials while taking care of the operational aspects and maintenance requirements in the future. The contracts for the construction of the project, which was awarded in 2013 to three global coalitions with a total value of about $ 22.5 billion dollars and will contribute to strengthening the components of the city of Riyadh and change the way of life and reduce the proportion of pollution and the positive impact on the quality of life in general. The project has allocated 25 sites for the establishment of public parking spaces along various train and bus routes in most parts of the city in order to facilitate the use of the two networks instead of using the private car to move within the city. The parking buildings within the project were designed in different capacities. The project also includes the establishment of seven centers for accommodation and maintenance and the control and operation center for the public transport system in Riyadh.
