Following the end of the encounter, ended with Jeddah-based Ittihad beating rival Riyadh-based Nasr 1-0, the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received sons of those who died as Martyrs of Duty of the Armed Forces and exchanged fatherly-wise cordial talks with them. Then, the prince shook hands with the referees, awarding them their memorial medals and signed the ball, used during the match. He also awarded to the President of Nasr F.C. Prince Faisal bin Turki and the players of the loser side, their silver medals and the runner-up financial reward, wishing them good luck, next times to go. For his part, Hatim Ba'ishin, the President of Ittihad F.C. and the Captain of the winning team, received their gold medals form the Vice Custodian, who also congratulated them, wishing them all success.
