Osnabrueck, Germany, Dhu-AlQa'dah 21, 1437, August 24, 2016, SPA -- At least nine people were injured - two of them seriously - when a train collided with a bus in the German state of Lower Saxony early Wednesday, a police spokesman said, according to dpa. A bendy bus carrying 15 people had come to a halt on a railroad crossing in the town of Melle at about 8:30 am (0630 GMT) and its rear was hit by a goods train, the police spokesman said. The bus, which was acting as rail replacement service, had stopped behind the crossing to let passengers disembark. It is not clear whether the driver was aware that the rear of the bus was still on the tracks, police said. Nine people were brought to hospital and two helicopters were deployed in an ongoing rescue effort, the police spokesman said. --SPA 13:03 LOCAL TIME 10:03 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
