"The police stormed the location where they were being held and rescued them," police spokeswoman Irene Itohan said. According to dpa, the group of miners - three Australians, two Nigerians, one New Zealander and one South African - were receiving treatment, the spokeswoman said, adding that they had received injuries during the abduction.
