Lagos, Ramadan 21, 1437, Jun 26, 2016, SPA -- A group of mostly foreign employees of an Australian mining company were released on Sunday, four days after they were kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Nigeria's volatile Niger Delta, officials said. "The police stormed the location where they were being held and rescued them," police spokeswoman Irene Itohan said. According to dpa, the group of miners - three Australians, two Nigerians, one New Zealander and one South African - were receiving treatment, the spokeswoman said, adding that they had received injuries during the abduction.
