Manila, Ramadan 25, 1436 AH, July 12, 2015, SPA -- Five suspected car thieves and robbers were killedSunday in a shootout with police in the Philippines, officials said according to dpa. The suspects were riding a sports utility vehicle and a motorcyclewith no plate when they opened fire at a police checkpoint in Bulacanprovince, just north of Manila, according to Superintedent RogelioRamos, the provincial police chief. A team of police officers had been tailing the suspects before theshootout, Ramos said.
