Manila, Jumada II 21, 1439, Mar 9, 2018, SPA -- Four people were killed in a shoot-out with police in the Philippines on Friday after posing as corporate regulators to allegedly rob a loan company. A fifth suspect escaped the deadly encounter in the town of Iba in the northern province of Zambales, 135 kilometers north of Manila, dpa quoted regional police director Amador Corpus as saying. The suspects entered the Lucky 55 Lending Company and pretended to be inspectors from the Securities and Exchange Commission. They then allegedly seized jewelry, cash and other valuables from employees. They were about to make their getaway in the company owner's car when police officers arrived at the building. The suspects then opened fire at the police, triggering the shoot-out, Corpus said. --SPA 14:19 LOCAL TIME 11:19 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w637443
