Tokyo, Sha'ban 13, 1436, May 31, 2015, SPA -- A magnitude-6.3 earthquake hit a chain of Japanese islands off Tokyo early Sunday, but no tsunami warning was issued, dpa cited authorities as saying. There were no immediate reports on casualties or damage to property. The seismic center of the quake that jolted the region at 3:49 am (1849 GMT Saturday) was near Torishima, located about 600 kilometres south of Tokyo in the Pacific, the Meteorological Agency said.
