Arab health ministers council holds meeting in Geneva

Geneva, Rajab 29, 1436, May 18, 2015, SPA -- Arab health ministers council held a coordinative meeting in Geneva today to orchestrate the Arab countries positions towards all topics on the agenda of the 68th session of the World Health general assembly, currently ongoing in Geneva. Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, the minister of health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led his country's delegation to the meeting. During their meeting, the ministers tackled a number of issues, including improvement of health care in Arab countries, particularly in occupied Palestinian territories, Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Libya, provision of health assistance to Yemenis and to Yemenis in Djibouti, support for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, as well as enhancing Arab joint action in the field of medical and curative research field, enhancing health environment in Arab countries, combating of diseases and establishing the medical and medicinal research center in Cairo. --SPA 17:56 LOCAL TIME 14:56 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
