Sharm el Sheikh, Jumada II 9, 1436, Mar 29, 2015, SPA -- In his speech before the Arab Summit, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Tammam Salam confirmed that his country has suffered and is still suffering from cross-border terrorism, and paid a heavy human and material price, before putting an end to this wave, thanks to its crucial political decision. He extended, on behalf of all Lebanese, thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which presented an unprecedented financial donation to provide the armed forces of Lebanon and its security organs with arms, stressing that his country will not forget this sincere fraternal initiative, which was preceded by many of its kindness that engraved in the Lebanese national memory. On events in Yemen, Salam said, "The political conflicts in Yemen instigated by external interventions, led to the emergence of a state of security and political chaos and is now threatening not only Yemen's unity as a nation and the state of Yemen as a political entity, but now constitutes a real threat to security in this strategic Arab region." The Lebanese Premier also added, "Due to this fact, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was committed to answering the appeal of Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and leading an Arab and Islamic military alliance to prevent the aggravation of this danger, and to strengthen the legitimacy and returning the situations in Yemen to their previous normalcy. He announced his country's support for the establishment of a joint Arab force to combat terrorism and safeguard Arab national security. --SPA 14:04 LOCAL TIME 11:04 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
