Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled added that he had visited Palestine last year and met President Mahmoud Abbas there to reaffirm full support for the Palestinian people in their efforts to have their own state, and to sharply condemn all continuing Israeli aggressions. Kuwait and the Arab League had jointly sent messages to all IAEA member states urging them to support an Arab draft resolution on Israeli's nuclear capabilities. The draft resolution demanded Israel to join the NPT with the goal of creating a nuclear-free Middle East region in an effort to maintain regional and international security and stability, the Kuwaiti foreign minister elaborated. At the behest of the Ministerial Council, the State of Kuwait headed an Arab ministerial delegation to Iraq in order to voice full backing to the Iraqi government in its efforts to impose security and stability nationwide and to fulfill the expectations and hopes of the Iraqi people for a better future, he noted. A closed-door meeting was then held by Arab Foreign Ministers under the chairmanship of the Egyptian Foreign Minister to discuss the latest developments in Yemen. --SPA 18:57 LOCAL TIME 15:57 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
