Athens, Jumada I 29, 1436, Mar 20, 2015, SPA -- The leader of Greece's far-right Golden Dawn party wasreleased from prison on Friday, along with another senior party lawmaker, because of limits on the amount of time a person may spend in pre-trial detention under Greek law, dpa cited state television report. Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos will now be under house arrest until his April 20 trial, while Yannis Lagos is banned from attending public meetings. Both are to face charges of operating a criminal organization along with multiple other party members. Lagos is also banned from leaving the country. The proceedings against more than 70 members of Golden Dawn were launched after the 2013 killing of Pavlos Fyssas, 34, known as Killah P, a leftist musician stabbed to death in Athens, allegedly by a party supporter who now faces voluntary manslaughter charges. The party's leadership has denied any connection to the killing, saying the arrests are part of a political conspiracy to break up the party. -- SPA 18:48 LOCAL TIME 15:48 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
