New Delhi, Muharram 11, 1436, November 04, 2014, SPA -- Maoist insurgents shot and killed seven people in India's eastern state of Jharkhand, police said Tuesday, according to dpa. Militants from the People's Liberation Front of India opened fire on a vehicle passing through the forests in the Gumla district on Monday evening. "There were three special police officers among those killed. We have reasons to believe the rebels were targeting them. The other victims were labourers," police officer Chakravarti Ram said by telephone. --SPA 14:26 LOCAL TIME 11:26 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
