Geneva, Dhu-AlQa'dah 21, 1435, Sep 16, 2014, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed sharing the International Committee of Inquiry on Syria its deep concern over the aggravation and deterioration of the situations due to continued Syrian regime which lost legitimacy in killing and displacement of the Syrian people. Citing the report submitted by the committee on the situation in Syria, the Kingdom confirmed that these violations are against the human rights and are represented war crimes against humanity. In his speech before the Human Rights Council today, Secretary of the Council of the Human Rights Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmed Al-Yahya stressed that the Kingdom rejected and condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations as well as supported firmly the UN Security Council Resolution no. 2170 in addition to supporting international efforts to combat terrorism as mentioned in a statement issued in Jeddah Declaration on 11, September and Paris Declaration on 15, September. He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns this regime and its violations against the Syrian people under the pretext of combating terrorism while the regime supported the terrorism and provided facilities for spreading it in the neighboring countries. Al-Yahya called on the international community to act with courage to bring the Syrian regime and its cronies to the international justice. Al-Yahya confirmed that the Kingdom was and will continue to play its humanitarian role in helping the Syrian people and alleviating their suffering. In this regard, the Kingdom's donation for this purpose reaches more than $400 million since the beginning of their suffering in 2011.
