An Arab Ministerial Committee to Discuss Ways to Address Iranian interference in Arab affairs

Cairo, Jumada II 19, 1439, March 07, 2018, SPA --The Arab Ministerial Committee on Monitoring the Crisis with Iran held here today a meeting at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, chaired by the United Arab Emirates, represented by its Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash, and the participation of both Egypt and Bahrain and the Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting was led by the Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan. The Committee prepared a draft resolution on Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Arab States and ways of addressing them, to be forwarded to the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers for approval at its 149th session. The project includes a number of items that reflect the Arab position rejecting and denouncing these interventions.
