Abuja, Rabi'I 26, 1438, Dec 25, 2016, SPA -- Nigeria's president said Saturday that terrorist group Boko Haram had been crushed and ousted from its last enclave in Sambisa forest in the north-east of the country, dpa reported. Boko Haram's major base, "Camp Zero," was captured by the military on Friday. The chief of army staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, informed President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday. Buhari described it as the "most gratifying news of the final crushing of Boko Haram terrorists in their last enclave in Sambisa forest." He said: "I was told by the chief of army staff ... that the terrorists are on the run, and no longer have a place to hide.
