GACA launches Return Initiative to facilitate pilgrims' departure

Riyadh, August 16, 2019, SPA --  The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has announced the launch of Return Initiative representing a qualitative and historic leap in the service of pilgrims, aiming at launching in its pilot phase during the next two days to facilitate the completion of pilgrims' procedures automatically from their residences and before arrival at the airport, and targeting in Hajj this year 1440 AH pilgrims departing for Indonesia, India, and Malaysia. GACA President Abdul Hadi bin Ahmed Al-Mansouri pointed out that the Return Initiative was launched during Hajj this year 1440 in a pilot stage and will serve about 30,000 in its first phase at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and then this service will be extended to all pilgrims, Umrah performers and passengers traveling through Kingdom's airports. --SPA 16:02 LOCAL TIME 13:02 GMT 0014 www.spa.gov.sa/w1156622
