Geneva, Jul 12, 2019, SPA -- The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution here today condemning all violations of international law by the Syrian regime for the ninth year in a row, and in particular the gross and systematic violations committed by its allies, organizations and militias. The resolution also condemned in the strongest terms the indiscriminate use of prohibited weapons against civilians, including incendiary bombs, cluster munitions, explosive drums and ballistic missiles, and the use of starvation and blockade as a weapon of war against civilians. The resolution called on the member states of the Syrian support group to renew their efforts for a ceasefire and return to negotiations to find a political solution to the Syrian conflict, under the auspices of the United Nations. -- SPA 21:01 LOCAL TIME 18:01 GMT 0019 www.spa.gov.sa/w1135728
