Geneva, Sha'ban 13, 1435, Jun 11, 2014, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has renewed its demand that the Human Rights Council hold the Syrian regime accountable for terrorism practiced against its own people and its extension to the region and the world, according to what was agreed upon by the Conference of Friends of Syria. This came in interposition of the member of the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid Menzlawi participating in the 26th session of the Human Rights Council currently meeting in Geneva in response to the charges of the delegation of the Syrian regime that the Kingdom has brought Saudi terrorists out from prisons and sent them to fight in Syria. He said, "The broken record repeated over and over by Representatives of the Syrian regime is merely lies in which they believe to distract the world from what is perpetrated by a brutal regime that does not represent the people. " He stressed that the first source of terrorism is the Syrian regime which uses the explosive barrels, ballistic missiles, cluster bombs and chemical weapons against defenseless and helpless people. It is better for the one who promotes a false and failed campaign to advise his regime to desist from its terrorism against its own people. Menzlawi noted that the Kingdom issued laws that prevent its citizens from participating in fighting outside the country. --SPA 13:29 LOCAL TIME 10:29 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
