Global Dialogue Center participates in G20 Values Forum in Tokyo

Tokyo, June 10, 2019 SPA -- The annual Forum of Religious and Human Values of the G-20, in Tokyo, has been launched under the title "Working for peace, people and the planet, the challenges facing the G-20", with the participation of three former prime ministers of Britain, Ireland and New Zealand, the United Nations, international organizations, academics and representatives of interfaith and interfaith organizations; and the attendance of 2000 participants in the meetings of the Conference to exchange experiences and make appropriate recommendations in this regard. The annual Forum for Dialogue Institutions aims to highlight the importance of the role of religious and human values in the areas of sustainable development, and to build a network of institutions working on dialogue on the topics of religious and human values and their relation to the policy industry, economy and social issues and highlighting the contributions of these values to the most important global issues expected to be the focus of world leaders' attention at the upcoming G20 summit, hosted by Osaka this month, in Japan for the first time is the chairmanship of a group consisting of the 19 largest economies in the world as well as the European Union. The forum was hosted by the Secretary-General of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Interfaith Dialogue.
