Riyadh, April 11, 2019, SPA -- Deputy Speaker of Shura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Mutani received here today Head of the European Union (EU) Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Michele Cervone D'Urso. At the outset of the reception, Dr. Al-Mutani welcomed the European Head, stressing the Kingdom's political and economic importance in the Arab and Islamic world and its active role in the international arena. He also pointed out that the Shura Council plays a leading role in the field of parliamentary diplomacy to link and strengthen the Kingdom's relations through friendship committees with various parliamentary councils and unions to exchange and bring closer views and achieve the greatest degree of cooperation and coordination in order to contribute to the development of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the European Union, especially at the parliamentary level.
