Riyadh, Mar 25, 2019, SPA -- Speaker of Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq bin Ali Al-Ghanem hailed the historical and current stance of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leadership, government and people towards his country, expressing the grace he enjoyed of his meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. In a press statement here today following a meeting with his Saudi counterpart, the Speaker of Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, in the framework of his current visit to the Kingdom, accompanied by a number of the Kuwaiti parliament, he said "I have been honored to meet with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, hearing his directives and advices, as his akin, from Kuwait, reasserting that the Kingdom has a historical record towards Kuwait and that no Kuwaiti national would ever forget it, as none has an upper hand in liberating Kuwait from the paws of aggressive Iraqi occupation, before the Kingdom, but only the Al-Mighty Allah". He recalled the historically significant stance of the late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reaffirming the sovereignty of the Kuwait as a state, saying: Saudi Arabia and Kuwait shall, either remain together, each as a sovereign nation, or both of them shall have to vanish, as well. A stance taken, in a very critical position and timing, re-emphasizing that the aforementioned words are engraved in the hearts and minds of the whole Kuwaiti nation, inherited and passed through generations, as they should not expire by prescription. -- SPA 17:45 LOCAL TIME 14:45 GMT 0027 www.spa.gov.sa/w1072459
