ADEN, December 24, 2018, SPA -- Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee—Abdulraqeeb Fatah condemned Houthi putschist militia for preventing a delegation of World Food Program (WFP) of the UN from visiting Taiz province. The WFP delegation field trip to Taiz was scheduled for today (Sunday). The militiamen blocked the delegation as they attempted to enter the besieged city through eastern entrance in Al-Howban. In a statement to the official Yemeni News Agency, the Minister described the militia's act as a flagrant violation of Stockholm's understandings." It is one more violation added to the militia's record in dealing with humanitarian situation", Fatah said. He noted that the militia have blocked many shipments of relief and humanitarian aid to enter the city, impeded three high-profile UN delegations' trips to the province, most prominent of all former Assistant of the UN Secretary General Stefanie Obrien.
