Minister of Communications Takes Part, in Int'l Future's Councils' Meetings, in Dubai

Dubai, Rabi'I 3, 1440, Nov 11, 2018, SPA -- Minister of Communications and Information Technology (IT) Eng. Abdullah bin Aamir Al-Suwaha took part, in the meetings of the 3rd session of International Future's Councils of the World Economic forum (DAVOS), which have taken place here on 11-12 Nov., under the aegis of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, the Premier and Ruler of Dubai. In a statement he made on the occasion, the minister said that the Kingdom's participation in such a world standard event is proceeding from its effective role and internationally pioneering clout, in addition to its economic significance, adding that the Kingdom has launched various strategic plans and ambitious programs to confront challenges lying in the future. Atop of them, he pointed out, is to realize the Kingdom Vision 2030, aiming at development and growth of all sectors, in the Kingdom, notably, in the communications and information technology sector to actualize anticipated digital transformation, in order to build a digital society, government and flourishing digitally-driven economy based on a solid industry emanated from the 4th industrial revolution and culminating in achieving digital and competitive sustainable economy, that would realize better livelihood and future for the Kingdom. -- SPA 21:11 LOCAL TIME 18:11 GMT 0025 www.spa.gov.sa/w785389
