The United Nations, 18 Dhu-AlQa'dah,1439 AH, 31 July,2018 , SPA -- The United Nations has confirmed Iran's involvement in supplying Houthi militias with ballistic missiles and drones with similar characteristics to manufactured weapons in Iran. The Experts Committee explained in a confidential report to the UN Security Council, according to the French Press Agency, that short-range ballistic missiles, as well as other weapons, were sent from Iran to Yemen after the arms embargo was imposed in 2015. The Committee noted that weapons recently used by Houthi militias and analyzed including missiles and drones, have shown similar characteristics to weapons systems known to be manufactured in Iran. The report added, "Despite the arms embargo, Houthi militias are getting ballistic missiles and drones, and that the missiles are likely to be manufactured outside of Yemen, and their parts have been shipped to Yemen." -- SPA 12:57 LOCAL TIME 09:57 GMT 0007 www.spa.gov.sa/w724281
