Cairo, Shawwal 28, 1439, Jul 12, 2018, SPA -- The Egyptian Supreme Council for Media Regulation has praised the effective and successive measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to combat piracy and protect property rights, stressing its rejection of any piracy or illegal broadcast that contradicts the laws and regulations of each country. In a statement issued today, the Egyptian Supreme Council for Media Regulation strongly condemned Qatar's attempts to involve the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into the case of "beoutQ" channel accused of free broadcasting the World Cup in Russia, pointing out that it is a political position in Qatar's dispute with the four countries - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and United Arab Emirates calling for combating terrorism in addition to the covering of Qatar's obvious technical failure to prevent piracy. The Council also expressed its understanding of the reasons getting the Kingdom to ban the channels of "beIN SPORTS" owned by Qatari Al Jazeera Media Network because of its support for terrorism. --SPA 03:43 LOCAL TIME 00:43 GMT 0046 www.spa.gov.sa/w716215
