Islamabad, Ramadan 07, 1439, May 23, 2018, SPA -- Pakistan has confirmed its commitment to support regional efforts through the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in combating terrorism in the region. The commitment was made by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua during the opening session of the meeting of the regional counter-terrorism experts of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which began today in Islamabad and will continue until the twenty fifth of May. She added that Pakistan is aware of the threats posed by terrorism, extremism and separatism to the security of the region, pointing out that terrorism cannot be linked to any country, religion or people, but a global phenomenon that threatens global and regional security.
