KSrelief Supervisor General: KSA Takes a Leading Role in Humanitarian and Relief Work Through Serving Countries in Need of the world

Paris, Sha'ban 30, 1439, May 16, 2018, SPA --Advisor- Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, has stressed that the Kingdom, through its long history has taken a leading role in humanitarian and relief works through serving needy countries of the world in recognition of the importance of this role in alleviating human sufferings and ensuring a decent life for the needy where the foreign aid provided by the Kingdom amounted to 65.9 billion US dollars between 1994 - 2014 constituting 1.90% of the ratio of official development assistance of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which exceeds the United Nations target for assistance for development estimated at 0.70%. This came during his meeting with a number of French journalists in the capital Paris, where Dr. Al Rabeeah stressed the Keenness of the leadership to consolidate the relief work as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, issued directives to establish King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief center on May 13, 2015, as an international monument dedicated to humanitarian work to consolidate the Kingdom's external relief efforts under one umbrella in accordance with noble humanitarian objectives and principles. Dr. Al Rabeeah said that the center has managed to implement 419 projects covering 40 countries around the world with a total value of US $ one billion and 718,000, and Yemen has received the largest share as the projects have reached 260 projects including various sectors .
