For his part, UN Secretary General Antonio Gutters praised King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Works' Center efforts to rehabilitate and re-educate children recruited as soldiers by the Houthi militias, in a flagrant violation of the international laws. On Syria, the UN Chief said that it is necessary to resume Geneva negotiations and discussion between representatives of the government as well as the opposition, noting that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall play a leading role in gathering the opposition before heading towards Geneva, pointing out that the UN is backing up the Kingdom, in this regard, in order to resume the dialogue, as there are no military solution, in Syria, as he said before and concluding that the solution shall be made by the Syrians themselves only, without external intervention, in order to choose their leaders and decided their future. On the other hand, Gutters expressed UN keenness to send experts of the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons to Duma, as soon as possible, pointing out that conducting an independent investigation is imperative and that he hopes that the findings will be obligatory on the Syrian government to facilitate their works. Answering a question on whether a Pan-Arab force will replace US military presence, in Syria, with Gulf funding contributions, the Saudi Foreign Minister said that discussions are underway with the US, since the beginning of the year, in this aspect, while sending forces to Syria was a proposal we submitted to Obama administration exploring whether US will send a force to Syria, coming to the Kingdom, it will consider that with some other states for sending of forces, among the coalition. The idea, he added, is not freshly new, as we have other suggestions for the member states of the Islamic Coalition to Combat Terrorism.
