Saudi Ambassador to Yemen: the Kingdom Tops the World Countries in Supporting Yemen

Geneva, Rajab 17, 1439, Apr 3, 2018, SPA -- The United Nations organized a panel discussion within framework of the UN donor conference in Yemen on delivery of the humanitarian aid, in participation of Mohammed Al Jaber, Saudi ambassador to Yemen. In a key speech, Ambassador Al Jaber affirmed the Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in coordination and cooperation with the United Nations and the state sponsors for peace in Yemen have taken great and active steps to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and enhance humanitarian action in Yemen through three main parts: the development and improvement of the work of the UN mechanism for verification and inspection, announcement of Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations through supporting the United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen, citing the Saudi and UAE donation of $1 billion to the United Nations organizations operating in Yemen and the improvement of the economic situation in Yemen through the Kingdom's support to the Central Bank of Yemen worth $ 2 billion in addition to a $1 billion worth of deposit in the Central Bank of Yemen in 2012. He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Coalition Countries established "Isnad" center for comprehensive humanitarian operations to implement the plan and facilitate the process of access and distribution in Yemen with all relevant organizations.
