4th Conference of Labor Ministers to Kick off tomorrow in Jeddah

Jeddah, Jumada II 4, 1439, Feb 20, 2018, SPA -- The 4th Islamic Conference of Labor Ministers, jointly organized by the Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will open in Jeddah tomorrow. As many as 56 member states will participate in the two-day event to explore labor market challenges occurring in the OIC countries and ways to generate and sustain job opportunities along with exchanging information on policies and successful programs. The labor ministers will address the OIC Labor Market Strategy, the OIC Agreement on Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) of Skilled Workforce and the OIC Recommended Bilateral Agreement on Exchange of Manpower. Additionally, the participants are expected to shed light on the Execution of Youths Employment Support (YES) Programme, Activities within the Framework of OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET), OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) and other related activities.
