Moroccan int'l book fair opens in Casablanca

Casablanca, Jumada I 22, 1439, Feb 8, 2018, SPA -- Morocco's 24th international book fair opened in this Atlantic Moroccan resort city of Casablanca today under the patronage of King Mohammed VI who deputized his Crown Prince Mawlaye Al-Hasan to grace the event in which Egypt serves as guest of honor. As many as 700 publishers from 45 countries are participating in the exhibition which will last until the 18th of current February. The Saudi pavilion, which lies on an area of 2000 sq.m., includes a number of intellectual, scientific, religious and historical titles from 13 governmental bodies, including samples of the Quran publications of Madina-based King Fahd Complex for the Publication of the Holy Quran. Saudi ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja is among the senior officials who graced the opening ceremony and paid a visit to the Saudi pavilion. --SPA 19:48 LOCAL TIME 16:48 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w606923
