The White House statement said Trump would work to deny funding for the Iranian government, particularly its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). "We will rally the international community to condemn the IRGC's gross violations of human rights and its unjust detention of American citizens and other foreigners on specious charges," the White House said. "Most importantly, we will deny the Iranian regime all paths to a nuclear weapon," it said. He swore that the most noble commitment for him is the guarantee of the American people's safety and security. He gave an account of the bloody history of the Iranian regime, particularly its hatred to American nation, citing that their beloved slogan is "death to America" and creating a harbor for senior terrorists following the September 11 attacks including one of the sons of Osama bin Laden. He pointed to the Iranian regime's instigation of sectarian violence in Iraq, civil wars in Yemen and Syria and its support for Bashar Al-Assad's brutal violations, particularly their ignorance of his use of chemical weapons against civilians, killing several children. He criticized his predecessor's decision to reach such an agreement with a regime which would otherwise have collapsed, describing the agreement as one of the worst in America's history. He said the agreement offered Iran strong financial boosts to the surprise of observers. He vowed to work with America's allies to confront the regime's destabilizing activities in the region and impose additional sanctions on it to prevent it from financing terrorism and tackle the program for proliferation of missiles and weapons which threaten its neighbors, international trade, navigation's free movement and cut all ways for it to obtain a nuclear weapon for ever. He cited authorizing the U.S. treasury to continue imposing sanctions against the Iranian revolutionary guard as one of the steps immediately taken to kick off this strategy. He said he instructed his administration to work with the U.S. congress and allies to tackle the several flaws in the agreement. Otherwise, if no solution is reached with the congress, I will announce terminating the agreement, Trump threatened. Finally, he expressed hope that the measures he announced today would coerce the Iranian dictatorship to re-assess its support for terrorism at the expense of its people and that today's announcement would help achieve better peace, stability and prosperity for the Middle East. --SPA 03:47 LOCAL TIME 00:47 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w511573
