Washington, Dhu-AlQa'dah 16, 1437, Aug 19, 2016, SPA -- A 7.4-magnitude earthquake has struck off the South Georgia Island region, in the southern Atlantic Ocean, the US Geological Survey said Friday. The quake struck at 0732 GMT at a depth of 10 kilometers and about 316 kilometers east-south-east of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, dpa reported.
