UNITED NATIONS, Shawwal 09, 1437, July 14, 2016, SPA -- The U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) said Thursday that it is placing five Libyan sites on its list of World Heritage in Danger. The World Heritage Committee noted Libya’s “high level of instability” and the presence of armed groups in or near historic sites.
