Riyadh, Rajab 13, 1437, April 20, 2016, SPA -- Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir said that the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Kingdom of Morocco discussed, during their summit, a number of important topics included sectarian strife, extremism and terrorism, in addition to the Islamic Military Alliance and interventions in the affairs of the region's countries. During a joint press conference on Wednesday evening with his Moroccan counterpart Salaheddine Mezouar, Al-Jubeir stressed that views of the GCC countries and the Kingdom of Morocco were identical, pointing out that the leaders stressed their commitment to the common defense of their countries' security, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of their countries and to stop any attempts to undermine their security and stability. Al- Jubeir added that the GCC leaders reiterated their position considering the Moroccan Sahara cause as their cause, confirming their position in support of the fact that the Sahara is Moroccan. They also stressed their support for the autonomy initiative submitted by Morocco as a basis for any solution to the territorial dispute and expressed their rejection of any damage to the interests of Morocco. He stressed that the GCC countries stand wholeheartedly with the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco in every issue, saying that this is an indisputable stance.
